ABOUT
The Phalaborwa Community of Givers were established to assist our Community affected by the severe Floods.
Phalaborwa has been severely affected by unprecedented flooding following more than ten consecutive days of relentless rain, with rainfall exceeding 900 mm. The impact on the town and surrounding communities has been catastrophic.
The entire town of Phalaborwa is currently without water, leaving households, businesses, hospitals, and essential services under extreme pressure. In addition, bridges and critical road infrastructure have been destroyed, resulting in all roads into Phalaborwa being closed and the town effectively cut off.
Many residents have also been without electricity for up to ten days, causing food supplies to spoil and leaving families unable to cook or store basic necessities. Homes have been flooded, possessions lost, and livelihoods disrupted. Beyond the physical destruction, the emotional and psychological trauma experienced by the community is profound.
This fundraiser aims to provide urgent humanitarian relief through essential food and basic household supplies to support affected families during this crisis. Every contribution will make a tangible difference in restoring dignity, nutrition, and hope while recovery and repair efforts continue.
WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO HELP EVERYONE, BUT EVERYONE CAN HELP SOMEONE!
